This privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") applies to the processing of personal data carried out by BTICINO (part of Legrand Group) when using the "BticinoPRO" mobile application (the “Application”) as a professional and qualified installer.

To avoid any ambiguity, this Privacy Policy does not cover the processing of personal data relating to your customers (including end users for whom you have installed products manufactured by LEGRAND or other entities within its Group) that you carry out outside of the Application: this processing is carried out under your sole responsibility and must be described in a separate document that you provide to the data subjects.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the term "Personal Data Regulations" means any regulations relating to the protection of personal data, including the "General Data Protection Regulation" (or "GDPR").

Any reference to the applicable Personal Data Regulations is deemed to include any subsequent additions to or amendments to the applicable Personal Data Regulations (or any part thereof).

Creating an Account

To use the Application, you must register by creating an account (the "Account").

When you create your Account, you will be asked to provide an email address and a password. Please note that these credentials are required and necessary for the provision of the Application. If a required field is not completed, your Account cannot be created, and you will not be able to use the Application.

We remind you that if you enter the addresses of construction sites relating to private customers, you must inform them that you are transmitting this information to third parties, to Bticino, in its capacity as the provider of a configurator that allows you to manage your various construction sites. We also remind you that, in accordance with the Personal Data Regulations, you are acting as the data controller and BTICINO as the data processor (see the “Terms and Conditions of Use” page). BTICINO will only process this personal data for the purpose of enabling you to manage your various projects in accordance with your documented instructions and will not use it for any other purpose.

When you provide us with optional data, you have the right to object to its processing at any time by following the procedure detailed in the “Exercising user rights” section of this Policy.

Recipients with access to data

Only the following have access to your personal data, within the limits of their respective responsibilities:

Internal departments of LEGRAND Group companies: the teams in charge of the Application for the purpose of managing said Application; the department in charge of marketing operations for the purpose of sales prospecting and customer management and the team in charge of data analysis.
IT subcontractors responsible for hosting, developing, and maintaining the Application.
External service providers responsible for conducting surveys.
The service provider, SALESFORCE, supplier of LEGRAND's customer management tool.

We inform you that the mentioned service providers and subcontractors may only use your data for the purposes stated above and in strict compliance with the Personal Data Regulations.

If your personal data is transferred outside the European Union, we have implemented security and confidentiality measures deemed appropriate under the GDPR. For more information, you can contact us using the contact details provided in the "Exercising User Rights" section.

Data Security

LEGRAND has implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards in accordance with regulations to protect your personal data. However, LEGRAND wishes to draw users' attention to the potential risks to data confidentiality associated with internet use. It is the users' responsibility to implement or ensure the existence of measures to secure their own computer network, as well as to ensure the correct configuration of the internet box (router) connected to the internet service provider and other wireless access points (e.g., Wi-Fi, 4G, etc.).

Exercising your user rights

We encourage you to keep your personal data accurate, complete, and up to date. To do so, you can visit the "My Account" page of your Application.

In accordance with applicable Personal Data Regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, object to, erase, and port your data, as well as the right to restrict its processing and to provide instructions regarding the fate of your data after your death. Requests will be processed as quickly as possible, and in any event within a maximum of one (1) month from the date of receipt of your request.

In addition to the rights described above, you have the right to lodge a complaint at any time with the competent supervisory authority“Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali” (Italian Autority) .

You can review the latest version of this Privacy Policy by referring to the "Last updated" note at the top of this Privacy Policy.

When we plan to make substantial changes to this Privacy Policy (for example, a change in the purposes for processing personal data, the identity of one or more data controllers, or how you can exercise your rights), we will notify you before these changes take effect, by email (and also, where possible, via a notification in the Application).

Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you use the Application, cookies or trackers are placed on your device (computer, mobile phone, tablet), subject to the choices you have made, which you can change at any time by adjusting your settings (see the section below, "Accepting or Rejecting Cookies").

A cookie, placed on your device when you use the Application, is a small text file that records information about your browsing activity (pages viewed, date and time of visit, etc.) and allows us to improve your browsing experience and provide you with personalized Application. The term "cookie" hereinafter refers to cookies, trackers, tags, pixels, and all other similar technologies.
